Cup Final On Saturday May 16th 1987, Coventry City ended their 104 year history without a major trophy, by beating Tottenham Hotspur 3-2 after extra time. After twice falling behind in the game, Coventry fans were to enjoy one of the finest goals ever scored at Wembley Stadium, when Keith Houchen’s 63rd minute diving header from Dave Bennett’s superb cross levelled the score at 2-2.
